About this site
This is a dedicated site to the work of the 8vo, it is an unofficial 8vo site and has no input from any of the members, but if they would like to input any information that would be great.
I personally have be inspired by their work ever since I first saw a full set of Octavo’s at the LCP library back in 1993.
I hope you enjoy this site.

Written and designed by Mark Holt and Hamish Muir, two of the founding principals of 8vo, the story’s told it how it was – the everyday struggles of working with clients, typesetters, printers, and later on computers. Like many of their contemporaries, 8vo were working during a period of considerable change within the design industry – the book places 8vo’s work within the context of this revolution; from paste-up to desktop.
